Commercial Steel Buildings

Modern day steel buildings can be pre-fabricated and pre-engineered in almost any conceivable style. Today’s pre-fabricated steel buildings are ideal for office space, processing plants, marinas, sports stadiums, airplane hangars, large or small automobile garages and many other uses. Steel is gaining popularity as a building material for residential, business, commercial and manufacturing applications. Steel buildings can be configured in any number of dimensions and designs.

Steel structure systems are pre-engineered and pre-fabricated at the production plant. The building components are delivered already pre-drilled, pre-welded, and pre-punched to your project site by tractor trailers. If a large unobstructed floor plan is required, clear span technology makes internal building support pillars superfluous, and permits the maximum useable interior square footage. This design is ideal for applications such as gymnasiums or airplane hangars. As your business grows and requires more space, clear span buildings are easily expandable. When factory personnel, as opposed to contract delivery services, deliver the building components, they can facilitate rapid assembly, precise construction, and reduce assembly costs at your project site.

Decision makers in America’s business sector are becoming more eager to use steel because they can count on defined budget forecasts; the maintenance cost of steel buildings is minimal; and the strength of premium grade steel means the building will last a long time.

All-steel buildings fall into three categories:

Steel framed means that the internal structure of the building is made of commercial grade steel. The exterior of these buildings consists of ordinary material such as brick, stone, or stucco. This building style is often chosen for business offices, housing, and smaller structures.

Steel pole configurations use steel posts and trusses. The roof and building walls are then layered with steel. These buildings are sometimes known as pole barns; they are often used as agricultural storage structure systems.

Steel arch structure systems are largely used for ranching and farming or industrial buildings. Composed of arched steel panes, these arethe simplest of the categories to assemble. They are 100% steel configured in the shape of an arch, from which the rooftop and wall are molded. This is a great option for do-it-yourself amateurs with no construction experience, as they simply bolt together. Compared to more traditional building methods, a pre-engineered steel structure in any of these styles is a less expensive and more durable option.
